Expensive, but being a huge Yankees fan I loved it. The staff there was super nice and answered all my questions I had. Everyone was helpful and even offered to take my pictures. Had many fans buy me beverages and food, so I don't know what people are talking about when they say New Yorkers are rude because some of the nicest people I ever met were at The Stadium.
6. All other venues of this scale would have a coat check or facilities to store items, especially if some common items are not allowable.
All of these things made for a very bad start to the game especially when I was sick as a dog, so it did not leave a good impression nor was I able to enjoy the game.
went to see the soccer game, i had the legend club tickets, so they offer complimentary food buffet and non alcoholic drink, this place is best to eat cocktail shrimps and crab legs, its so fresh and sweet and juicy, cant do better, other buffet items are also outstanding. love this legend club restaurant and waiters are very polite and courthouse. A must go place.and of course it is YANKEES .:)
Magic! Yankees! Seriously, so much more than just a ballpark. Great dining and bars, friendly, helpful staff and employees, clean, easy entry and exit and so much more. The park feels like an entertainment center. We walked around casually on the bottom tier during the first few innings to view the game from many angles before going to our assigned seats. Lower level provides standing room behind seats for viewing while enjoying a drink or snack. Your watching and not blocking anyone's view. Great experience.
5. There was no mention of non allowable items when purchasing the tickets or any signs/indication at the venue and no one informed us while we wasted our time in line.
4. After we got rid of the tripod, we went to an entrance closest to the rental place and staff there told us we cannot bring our camera stabilizer. The first person said everything else was fine except the tripod...
Yankee stadium is so exciting. We went to see one of the play off games. It was definitely a "nail bitter". We decided to take the subway there because we were staying in Manhattan and there was a parade, and some of the streets were closed to vehicles. We took the "4" train, which stops right outside of Yankee stadium. We had great seats in section 206. That's where all the home runs and "out of bound" balls go. IT was a great game. I would strongly suggest it for a fun day or evening out. The hot dogs were good, and the beer was cold.
2. There is no indication which gate to enter from based on your seats, every other type of venue/show has this information. When asked which gate is closest to our seats, staff told me to just go inside and walk around because it’s a circle and you can’t get lost.
3. Upon getting to the front of the line (after about half an hour), security told us we are not allowed to bring a folded tripod. They said they had no lockers or place to store it and we need to go to the Hard Rock near by to rent their locker. We didn’t intentionally bring it but were on vacation and carry a lot of camera equipment from morning to night.
1. Getting in to the game was unorganized, we arrived prior to the start time but were not able to get in until an hour after the game started. The lines were not single file (there were no measures to organize the process) and some people just blended in and budged.
