Stay away from this piece of garbage the staff is condescending, rude, and racist I might add also they have terrible response I brought my pregnant wife to the ER that was bleedding and they told is to sit down in the waiting area ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDing me this people are the worst stay away from this hospital the charges are crazy and they do not care about their patients. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Doctor Shelia King who works in the emergency room is basically a heartless monster. I came here because of an allergic reaction I had to something. I had a weird rash and bumps on my skin. I didn't go earlier in the day because I wasn't feeling well. Also both my feet and ankles were in a cast and I was in a wheelchair. I was in a lot of pain that day which didn't go down until the evening. I waited almost four hours in the waiting room to see the doctor and when I was finally leaving at around 2am I ask the Doctor a white woman named Shelia King if I could have a note for work to prove I was at the doctor's she said to me "No, I am not giving you a note. You just want to get out of work you just should have come earlier." Her response was so insane I did not even bother to argue with her. I do not argue with crazy and heartless people. Its obvious I do not simply want to get out of work if I still go to work even though both my feet are in a cast and I was in a wheelchair on top of having a terrible rash and allergic reaction to something. I could not even walk and here she was claiming she would not give me a not because I just want to get out of work. She gave me some medicine that made me start to foam in my mouth and feel sick. It did not help me at all so I never took it again. And she told me to go to a dermatologist which was a misdiagnosis. I ignored her and went to an allergist instead who gave me the right medicine and now my rash and hives are going away. Doctor Sheila King was nasty rude and racist. She looked at me and treated me like I was something disgusting and ask me questions implying I must have had been taking drugs or had bed bugs. Clearly what I had were not bug bits, there were no bites on my sick. I would accuse her of being stupid but you need smarts to be a doctor so she was just being nasty and mean. Sheila King was a terrible doctor and its sad that we have people like her treating the sick. Doctors are supposed to care. She was a nightmare and should not be a practicing doctor in my opinion. It was illegal of her to deny me a note stating I was at the doctor's never in my life have I experience such a thing. Thankfully I do not even need a note for my job. I am able to take a sick day with out a note which is another reason I didn't bother arguing with her. Praise God. But I feel bad for anyone who has had to receive treatment from Doctor Shelia King.
This by far one the worst in the bronx either the administration needs to be replaced or shut the whole thing down the staff is rude and disrespectful to the patients and patients sit on a regular at least 4 hours minimum in the waiting room to be taken in to the back
Horrible service inside and outside of the center. You'll be waiting 45 minutes or more just to be CALLED, not seen.. And after you're called to get your minor check up from the nursing assistant, you then have to WAIT AGAIN... this time for your doctor, which could take as long as the first wait. Now when it comes to customer service over the phone FORGET ABOUT IT.. I've personally been "on hold for an hour and 15 minutes.... are you kidding me? For all of that I could've walked to the damn hospital center and got some assistance... Poor service.
Very nice staff. Specially the orthopedic center seventh floor. The nurses and the doctors are professionals.
